Vantage's largest production site in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) region is located in Leuna, near Leipzig in eastern Germany, which the company acquired in 2019. The 96,000-square-meter site, which employs around 130 people, is certified to the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 quality standard and produces over 70,000 metric tons of chemical specialties annually, 50% of which are sold in Germany and the other half across the globe.
Vantage Leuna is the world's leading producer of taurates and their precursors - so-called mild surfactants used in particular in sulfate-free shampoos and personal care products. The plant also produces specialty surfactants, chlorinated paraffines and intermediates covering a wide range of applications, including, household & industrial cleaners, pet food, specialty textiles and flame retardants.

Deine Verantwortung
Die Stelle ist verantwortlich für die Verwaltung der Dokumentation des Standorts, sowohl die elektronischen Dokumentationssysteme als auch die Papierablage / Archiv Die Stelle ist außerdem verantwortlich für alle anfallenden administrativen Aufgaben für drei deutsche Legal Entities.
Du bist dafür verantwortlich, dass die HR-Prozesse bei Vantage Leuna das nächste Level erreichen. Gemeinsam mit deinen Stakeholdern und unserem internationalen HR-Team erarbeitest du Lösungen für alltägliche Herausforderungen, die unsere Arbeitsweisen nachhaltiger machen und unsere Unternehmenskultur weiter stärken. Du teilst erprobte Best practice-Empfehlungen und unterstützt aktiv bei der Umsetzung dieser Maßnahmen. Direkt an unseren HR Director EMEA/APAC berichtend, bist du am Produktionsstandort Leuna in Zusammenarbeit mit dem lokalen Führungsteam für die Betreuung von knapp 130 Mitarbeitenden zuständig.
Kernaufgaben
- Offizielle Korrespondenz der Geschäftsführung mit externen Stellen, z.B. Behörden, öffentlichen Einrichtungen, Verbänden, Vertragspartnern, Kunden, Lieferanten und Dienstleistern
- Firmeninterner Schriftverkehr und Koordinationsaufgaben mit den lokalen Abteilungen am Standort Leuna sowie den Konzernbereichen, u.a. Legal, Finance, HR
- Fuhrparkmanagement
- Besuchermanagement im Auftrag der Geschäftsleitung
- Unterstützung bei der Organisation von Firmenveranstaltungen und der Unternehmenskommunikation intern/extern
- Unterstützung bei der Terminvorbereitung für die Geschäftsleitung, z.B. Erstellen von Präsentationen, Berichten, Erstellen/Überarbeiten von Vertragsentwürfen und anderen Dokumenten
- Vertretungsweise Bearbeitung und Verfolgung von Bestellvorgängen (indirect procurement)
- Ablage und Archiv der offiziellen Dokumente / Verträge / Schriftverkehr der Legal Entities (papiergebunden)
- Verwaltung, Betreuung und Weiterentwicklung der elektronischen Systeme zum Dokumentenmanagement, incl. user managment in enger Abstimmung mit der Fachabteilung IT, z.B. File Shares, Sharepoint, MS Teams Shared Folders sowie von Datenbanksystemen und IT Tools zum Dokumentenmanagement
- Administrative Überwachung (key user) der Arbeitsabläufe zur Erstellung, Aktualisierung, Überarbeitung, Freigabe und Löschung gemäß der firmeninternen Richtlinien, Erstellen von Berichten und Übersichten
- Organisation und Betreuung der technischen Anlagendokumentation (z.B. Pläne, Zeichnungen, Spezifikationen, Datenblätter, Zertifikate und Beschreibungen zu Apparaten, Maschinen, Betriebseinheiten usw)
- Organisation und Betreuung der betrieblichen Dokumentstruktur (z.B. Handbücher, Betriebsanweisungen, SOPs)
Dein Profil
Beruflicher Werdegang
- Ausbildung als Bürokaufmann/frau oder vergleichbar
- Berufserfahrung in der Verwaltung eines Produktionsbetriebs der chemischen Industrie
Kenntnisse, Fähigkeiten & Talente
- Diskretion, gewissenhaft im Umgang mit vertraulicher Information (Sekretariat GF)
- Strukturierte, projektorientierte Arbeitsweise
- Grundkenntnisse im Arbeits- und Unternehmensrecht
- Kenntnisse in elektronischen Dokumentenmanagementsystemen (EDMS), sowie MS Office Anwendungen

Process Control Engineer (m/f/d)

Position Scope
You are responsible for taking the production processes at Vantage Leuna to the next level. You will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of process control systems for our organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes while also identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the automation technology and the process control system (Yokogawa) at Vantage Leuna
- Determining and reporting key performance indicators related to automation technology and process control systems, e.g. reliability/failure rates in collaboration with the maintenance department; Human interface/alarm frequency, frequency of manual interventions in collaboration with the production area
- Continuous improvement and increased efficiency through process automation, including implementation of modifications and communication/training of the relevant target group
- Responsible for documentation regarding automation technology and process control system
- Develop and implement process control systems, including the design of control strategies, selection of sensors and actuators, and programming of control algorithms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to process control systems, including equipment failures, software bugs, and communication errors.
- Optimize process control systems to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
- Provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel on the use of process control systems.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies related to process control systems.
The ideal Candidate
Desired Background
- Master's degree in engineering, preferably in electrical, chemical, or mechanical engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in process control engineering in the chemical industry, with a focus on the design, implementation, and maintenance of control systems
Knowledge, Skills & Talents
- Strong and in-depth specialist knowledge of control theory, including PID control, feedback control, and advanced control techniques and
- Experience in PCS planning such as the specification of sensors, transmitters and actuators including determination of the measurement procedures, the requirements for explosion protection and the selection of materials for parts in contact with the product; Specification of safety devices in the process industry and/or machine technology;
- Knowledge of the design of switchgear for electric drives as well as the definition of tasks for PLC/PLS programming including planning of control loops, interlocks and sequence controls for continuous and batch systems;
- Experience in preparation of project scopes, equipment lists and their cost estimates
- Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++
- Excellent project management, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team
- Demonstrated experience in process hazard analysis methodologies (HAZOP, LOPA) and the related framework of regulation and technical standards and guidelines
- Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards related to process control systems
- Excellent language skills both German and English
- General MS Office, databases and ERP skills

Process Safety & Sustainability Engineer (m/f/d)

Position Scope
You are responsible to ensure state-of-the art process safety for the facilities of Vantage Leuna. You work on continuous improvement of the process safety technology in our plants, thus safeguarding regulatory compliance and implementing latest industry standards. You are the owner of operational sustainability management. You drive progress in energy efficiency, carbon footprint reductions and environmental protection.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Development, implementation and continuous improvement of process and plant safety engineering concepts (fire protection, explosion protection, fire and gas detection systems, blowdown and pressure relief systems, exhaust gas treatment systems as well as emergency shutdowns, interlocks and other systems to ensure the safe condition of the plants in any situation),
- Moderation of safety assessments (HAZOP/LOPA) incl. specification of technical measures to be implemented, preparation of safety reports,
- Preparation and further development of energy and mass balances of existing processes,
- Analysis and identification of potentials for the reduction of energy consumption and the reduction of waste gas, wastewater and waste streams,
- Participation in the development of appropriate concepts for plant modification to increase efficiency,
- Identification and evaluation of hazards from process deviations (Hazard Identification - HazId, Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment - HIRA, Process Hazard Analyses - PHA, Facility Siting - FSA, etc.),
- Development and evaluation of process safety concepts for the Vantage production facilities at the Leuna site,
- Responsible for the aspects of process and plant safety and sustainability within the scope of process development and investment projects for new or existing production facilities at Vantage Leuna,
- Process safety engineering calculations, e.g. design of safety devices for pressure relief including source term calculations for reactive and non-reactive systems, blow-down and quench systems as well as analysis of effects (explosions, free jet and dispersion calculations, BLEVE),
- Close cooperation with production and engineering, process engineering as well as plant design

- Successfully completed master's degree in the field of chemical engineering or process engineering
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the field of process safety, production or plant design in the chemical industry or with responsible organizations/authorities
