Human Resources Business Partner EMEA/APAC (m/f/d)

Your tasks as Human Resources Business Partner EMEA/APAC:

  • Comprehensive responsibility for the HR processes of the entire Leuna site and for our other sites in EMEA
  • Assumption of a leading role in all important issues in the HR area
  • Advising managers and employees in all facets of personnel management as well as in all personnel matters ­and labor law issues including related administration
  • Collaborates with global HR professionals on programs and strategies to ensure efficient and effective people management, drive business results and optimize employee engagement
  • Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of key global HR processes in the employment lifecycle (including candidate sourcing, selection, onboarding, contract terms, workforce metrics reporting, performance appraisals, annual salary reviews, leadership development, training, incentive, reward, and compensation systems)
  • Actively promote talent programs in collaboration with the leadership team to ensure talented employees have actionable development plans in place
  • Promote a working culture that is based on a supportive, coaching, mentoring and servant-leadership approach allowing our employees to be as successful as possible and encouraging employee satisfaction and motivation
  • Encourage and transform our teams to build an entrepreneurial culture of empowerment, accountability, and flexibility with modern management approaches and philosophies
  • Support of the global HR management in the needs analysis, conception and implementation of a strategic HR development - with a targeted view on talent, potential promotion and succession processes, establishment of a training culture including training organization and implementation
  • All aspects of recruitment and onboarding of professional and management personnel
  • Development and implementation of personnel development measures
  • Supporting managers in planning and conducting employee appraisals ­and following up on them

  • Coordination and management of the administrative personnel function
  • Ensuring proper personnel administration in compliance with all aspects of employment law
  • Partnership-based cooperation with our works council in line with the established Rules of Engagement

Your profile:

  • Higher commercial education and further training with a focus on human resources management
  • Generalist character with a broad and extensive background of experience
  • Solid experience in working in partnership and trust with the works council
  • Solid experience in personnel administration
  • Balanced approaches between strategic thinking and a strong hands-on mentality
  • Ability to coach leaders and lead challenging conversations as needed

Customer Service Representative (m/f/d)

Customer Service Representative (m/f/d)

In this position you will take responsibility for the sales of a defined group of products and have direct contact with the associated customers. You will conduct price negotiations independently with the necessary support and schedule orders in coordination with production.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for receiving and processing customer orders, checking prices, inventories and coordinating with production, production planning and logistics.
  • Preparation and monitoring of order delivery as well as shipment processing in cooperation with external service provider, confirmation of delivery, processing of changes/delays and information to the customer are part of your tasks.
  • You will forward all relevant documents, such as MSDS, specifications, statements, long-term supplier declarations, etc., be responsible for coordinating to handle customer inquiries with the appropriate departments.
  • You will be responsible for fully updating and maintaining customer files and master data, creating and sending price quotes to customers in consultation with product management or responsible sales manager, tracking and processing complaints.
  • Preparation of invoices, verification of delivery documents, certificates, etc. Reminding customers of outstanding invoices.
  • Creating sample orders, tracking sample shipments, reviewing sample inventory, requesting new samples from production.
  • Execution of various queries (e.g. terror list check, GMP+ transports, Ust-Id numbers); maintenance of regular evaluations (e.g. OTIF, transport routes); participation & support in audits (e.g. DIN, GMP+)

Your profile:

  • You have completed commercial training, preferably as an industrial clerk or forwarding clerk
  • Experience in the support of customers
  • Advanced written and spoken English language skills
  • Knowledge of Incoterms
  • Logistics/customer service/sales experience

  • Responsible for compliance with legal requirements and regulations regarding environmental and plant safety
  • Manage all notifications and permit management for the site, as well as for the relevant communication with the authorities
  • Control of the cooperation with external representatives, such as for incidents, immission control, water protection, waste and fire protection; in the future, you will take over some of the assignments yourself
  • Coordination and follow-up of HAZOPS measures in cooperation with process and project engineers
  • Timely revision of safety reports and hazard prevention plans
  • Establish and lead an interdisciplinary environmental team and develop the organization towards ISO 14001 certification

Your profile:

  • You have a master's degree in environmental engineering, process engineering, chemistry or chemical engineering with at least 2 years of relevant work experience or a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in an industrial environment is desirable, preferably in a manufacturing company in the chemical industry
  • You have experience in implementing and upholding management systems (ISO 14001 / EMAS / ISO 45001)
  • Ability to work in a team, a reliable, independent and careful way of working, willingness to perform and professional competence are desired

Your responsibilities as a Technical Service Manager EMEA:

  • Accountable for the technical service, technical support and new business development by proactively contributing to the commercial success. Acts as the technical expert in the relationship with our customers.
  • Co-owns the relationship with the sales professionals. Contributes to customer intimacy. Co-owns commercial objectives.
  • Conducts joint customer calls with the account managers, assumes the technical expertise part in the sales calls. While being the technical expert and presenting mostly to scientists, always keeps a strong commercial mindset.
  • Works closely with Marketing / Product Management on the introduction and roll out of new products and takes an active role in identifying new solutions and defining its value proposition, making new products a commercial success.

  • Develops and conducts training for customers, organizes technical customer events and represents Vantage in public technical forums.

Your profile:

  • PhD or Master’s in a field of science (chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, colloidal science, polymer chemistry, etc.)
  • 4+ years of experience in a technical role (Technical Service, R&D, Formulations) with direct customer contact.
  • Experience in conducting technical presentations to customers.
  • Experience in technical research and publication of results.
  • Experience working on teams located in different regions and cultures.
  • Extensive technical expertise in the relevant field and the specific markets (VPM, VPC, Natural Oils).
  • Skilled at working directly with customers to solve their challenges.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Very good German and English language skills.
  • Ability to travel 60+% throughout Europe to visit the other Vantage locations, customers and tradeshows.
